Floyd was born on December 19, 2014 in Havana, Arkansas to Arthur and Ethel Ward. He passed away on July 13, 2014 in Fresno, CA. at the age of 88. Floyd was the state director for the National Child Safety Council for 45 years.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mitzi; his sons Michael Ward, Rodney Ward and his wife Jennifer, and Sandy Ward; his daughters Mindy Ward, Georgia Bedsted and husband Conrad, and Collen Rhoads.

He was preceeded in passing by his son, Arthur Ward.

Celebration of Life services will be on July 16, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at Serenity Funeral Chapel. Graveside Services will be on July 17, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA.
