Obituary

Roy went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 19, 2014. He had a long battle with dementia, but now is healed. He was born in Selma, CA. on October 28, 1928, the son of Paul and Neta Bennett. Roy grew up in Fresno and graduated from Fresno High School.

He spent about 40 years in the general merchandise business. He worked for United Grocers, developing a whole new GM branch and warehouse to cover the four grocery warehouses. During this time, he also helped to develop a new trade association called General Mer- chandise Distributing Council. He later was offered a job to develop another GM program for Western Family Foods, Inc. in the northwest and that's where he retired.

Roy was predeceased by an infant brother Ronald; and by his granddaughter, Kristen Ackley.

He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn, of almost 66 years; his children, Carol Riley (Patrick) of Fresno, Luanne Clark (Stan) of Superior, MT, Mark (Peggy) of Madera, Curtis (Kim) of Beav- erton, OR, Connie Bennett (Ken Jones) of Clovis, and Keith of Wildomar, CA; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Myers (Robert) of Fresno; brother-in-law, Sam Manske (Pat) of Lake Oswego, OR; two nephews, two nieces and many loving cousins.

The family thanks the staff of Twilight Haven, Nazareth House and Hinds Hospice for all the loving care Roy received.
